Words of Farewell by Shaista Arzoo
Many things need to be said, many that I want to convey, and yet, as I sit looking purposefully at the monitor, trying to find words that communicate appropriate words of farewell to my colleagues, I find myself at a loss of what to write....
I apologize to all who may find the length of these words a tad tedious, but at the eve of my departure from Tarang, it is necessary for me to adequately convey my emotions to my colleagues, peers and teammates with whom I have built memories that will stay with me for all time.
Tarang is my first company. This is where I have begun my professional life. In the time that I have been here, I have learned more than I could ever ask for and, in most cases, ever did ask for. I have met people who have taught, guided and motivated me and made me a person high in confidence. The experience has been highly rewarding and challenging on a professional level. Personally too I have shared a special bonding with all and I shall take away with me cherished memories of our times together, the most memorable ones being the Goa Trip with my friends here at Tarang & my Farewell Party.
I have been lucky in the extent of support I have received from my managers. Working under three managers, I executed Instructional Design Strategy, Storyboarding and Sales Lead Generation. Each manager was unique and generous in helping me deliver my best for a client, rendered more than adequate appreciation for my work, motivated me to no end and helped me elevate my confidence level immensely. In the last 2 months of my time here, I even learnt to SELL! Thanks a lot everyone in making the first step in my first career path so memorable.
If memory is a wine made from experiences, mine at this company will be a vintage for me to cherish and appreciate for years to come. Thank you all for making it such a special one. With this wine of memory, I am going back to my hometown since it is where to find my cheese.
In Chinese, there is no word equivalent to 'Goodbye', only one for 'See you again' which is better to use here anyway. And I believe there will be a lot of things equivalent to wine and cheese to celebrate with when I see you again. I hope to hear from all of you in the future. I wish each and every one of you the very best in all your future endeavors in both professional and personal lives. And I extend my sincere apologies to those of whom I have offended or hurt unknowingly.
Warm Regards and Thank You All once again for everything.
Goodbyes are not forever, Goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean I'll miss you, Until we meet again!
Yours Truly,
Shaista Arzoo
