eLearning Center Of Excellence
The eLearning Centre of Excellence was founded in 2004 with the aim of creating an active environment to enhance our learning services offerings.
The objective of the eLearning Center of Excellence is stated below:
- Building of Knowledge Base and Repository of Reusable components (Conformance Code, Assets, Templates, Action Scripts, Samples)
- R&D and Knowledge Sharing on Industry Best Practices and Standards
- Continuous training on new design tools Flash, Captivate, RoboHelp, Macromedia Suite
- Training on new Compliance Standards W3C, 508
- Fine tuning development processes
- Development of Repositories
- Style Sheets
- Proof of Concepts
- Other reusable scripts and templates
- Continuous enhancements on in-house Authoring tool and dynamic engine Learning Brix
- Developing POCs in the following areas
- mLearning programs
- Rapid eLearning using Captivate
- Web2.0 Learning programs that allow collaborations amongst users with wikis, blogs, forums, virtual white boarding, chat, surverys/polls, RSS feeds, links, search engine etc.
- Engaging and flexible Immersive Learning Simulations, which have fun and motivation as a strong element and assessments too. Interesting story lines are woven through effective instructional design
The members of the COE at Tarang are the CEO, Project Managers, Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts, Graphic Artists, Animation Designers, Flash Programmers and Content developers.The COE is headed by a Senior Team member by rotation . It meets once a fortnight with agendas circulated well in advance.
