Engagement Model

Offshore Development Center Model

In this model, Tarang sets up a dedicated team of Technical Lead, Developers and Testers under a Project Manager for the client. The size of the team is based upon the Requirements Gathering exercise that is carried out.

This team is a steady team that will ramp up as the engagement progresses. The members are dedicated to work for that specific client for the entire duration of the Agreement.

Tasks are allocated to the team based on the priorities defined by the client. Weekly status notes are exchanged. During the week communication is through email/chat and tele-conferences.

The processes used are SEI level 5 customized to be in sync with the client’s own processes.

The ODC Model can have a couple of variants:

Hybrid Delivery Model

This is a combination of onsite and offshore services that deliver results at highly reduced costs. Requirements of engineering and the development of detailed specifications are usually done onsite, while software development and testing are done offshore at our development center in India. This model maximizes efficiency in resources and costs.

Proven benefits of this model include continuous, near-24 hour work cycles; the ability to structure and assemble teams with diverse, multiple skill sets; lower costs for resources and the ability to quickly scale (up or down) depending on the requirements.

Offshore Delivery Model

A model is best suited for companies looking at deriving the maximum benefits of offshoring. This model reduces the development cost by over 40%.

Our team located at Tarang's development center in Bangalore, India, works as an extended arm the Customers in-house team. A team comprising of Project Manager, Project Leads, Domain Experts, Developers, Quality Control and Testing are dedicated to the client project.

The offshoring process involves replicating the Customer development environment, establishing the communication channels and reporting and reviewing structure.

Project Progress reports are sent to the Customer on a regular basis. The Customer can conduct mid-term reviews with the program manager at their offices or at the offshore office. Our engineers also facilitate installation and acceptance testing at the Customer's office.
