Tarang participates in CARTES 2007 Tarang PR, October 15, 2007

Tarang successfully participated in Cartes 2007, the first trade show worldwide for the smart card and identification industry. The Event was held in Paris, Nord Villepinte, France from November 13th to November 15th 2007. We hosted a booth (4K-135) at the event, where we showcased our expertise and solutions in the payments domain to a wide spectrum of prospective customers. We exhibited our proficiency in Biometric, Embedded, EMV, Merchant Platform, Prepaid and Wireless Solutions. Our successful participation was complemented by a significant presence of visitors from various countries at our booth.

This event, which is popular worldwide, was in its 22nd year of existence. 20,109 professionals attended the exhibition, which witnessed impressive innovations and high quality solutions presented by exhibitors from across the world. 520 exhibitors representing 147 countries participated in Cartes this year. Japan was the guest of honour with a noteworthy presence of Nippon. 1,700 participants attended 19 conferences which was a highlight of the event.

The focus this year was on contactless technologies and the Mobile Transactions Techzone, organized in partnership with the NFC Forum, brought Near Field Communication technology in the spotlight. Several exhibitors from all over the world unveiled their innovations related to mobile and contactless payments.
